Alarm Trip & Temperature Settings
Question: What do you recommend as alarm and shut-down temperature settings for winding RTDs?
Answer: The following tables (Tables 1 and 2) show alarm and shut-down temperatures based on the motor service factor, HP rating, and class of temperature rise. These temperatures apply to both winding RTDs and thermocouples. See winding termperature detectors section for alarm / shut-down temperatures of thermostats and thermistors.
