Across the Line Starting

Starting Characteristics:

1. Motor terminal voltage equals line voltage.
2. Motor current equals line current.
3. Starting torque equals rated starting torque.

Applications:

Use where system capacity and stiffness is sufficient to stand the high inrush without excessive voltage drop.
